Great service and very good Indian cuisine. Everything was super tasty and delicious.
Staff was kind. Food overall not bad. Chicken momos and chole bature was good. A bit disappointed by the saag paneer and goat curry. A bit busy/chaotic though I appreciate the effort of everyone. I would prefer warmer lighting/ a bit different of an ambience. Once again I appreciate the kindness from everyone and the manager was intentional and I received a discount which was nice.
We had such a wonderful experience! The customer service was excellent, and the place was clean and inviting. I absolutely love the fish, chicken momo and Chia were delightful.

The Gurkha Kitchen exceeded my expectations! The food was absolutely delicious with rich, well-developed flavors. My absolute favorite is the Chicken Tikka Masala - the best I’ve ever had. I could eat it every day of my life. We also thoroughly enjoyed the vegetable biryani, garlic and chive naan, and spicy chicken momo. The mango lassi was refreshing and tart, not overly sweet. Everything was fresh and served hot from the kitchen. I would recommend this spot to anyone, but especially for small to medium groups.
10/10 . The jhol momo and the thukpa I have no words . If the chef went on to compete on master chef he would be crowned instantly. This place needs a Michelin star ! The service is amazing. The servers are really friendly and kind. The atmosphere is pleasant and authentic. Overall an all rounded place. I have heard from friends that the tandoor items are also amazing. Will be trying that next.
This place has the best Indian food around! I asked for the dishes to be spicy, and wow, they really delivered on the heat—just the way I love it. The service was top-notch too. Everyone was super friendly and attentive, plus the food came out fast. This is definitely my new go-to spot for Indian food! I highly recommend it if you're into bold flavors and real spice.
The Gurkha Kitchen: A Hidden Gem in San Ramon! Don't let the modest storefront in the market plaza fool you--The Gurkha Kitchen is a total knockout. While the exterior is unassuming, the interior has a great, authentic Dhaba-style vibe that makes you feel right at home. The Service We arrived quite late with a large group of nine, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. They're generally open until 11:00 PM but prefer the final order by 10:30 PM. They were very transparent and helpful, advising us to put our full order in at once so the kitchen could get everything out together. It made the whole experience seamless! The Food Highlights We ordered a massive spread, and honestly, there wasn't a weak link in the bunch: * Veggie Momos: A perfect start. They arrived warm with a deeply flavorful chutney. * Chicken Biryani: This was top-notch. Unlike some places, the rice didn't have any overpowering "essence" or artificial floral notes--just pure, savory flavor. * Tandoori Chicken: Served on a sizzler, this was easily some of the best we've ever had. It was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and came with fresh cut onions and green chutney. * The Curries: Both the Goat Curry and the Nepali Chicken Curry were delicious. We also tried the Paneer Tikka Masala, which was rich, creamy, and had a great texture, plus a Dal Tadka that was simple, comforting, and hit the spot. * Tandoori Roti: You have to get these. They were fresh, crisp, and light--the perfect vessel for the curries. Drinks & Atmosphere They have a solid selection of interesting beers; we went with the Taj Mahal, which paired perfectly with the spice levels of the meal. Bottom Line: Whether you're with family or a big group of friends, this place is fantastic. The food is authentic, the staff is kind, and the flavors are memorable. Highly recommended!
Delicious food, fresh and hot. Amazing to taste both Nepal and Indian cuisine. Service is friendly and helpful with choosing dishes. Price matches value. This was our second time, and will be back with friends and family. Yum.
